First in our process we test the overall water chemistry for dissolved solids, hardness and Cyanuric Acid, this determines the route we take with the below options:

Cleaning Option 1: Chemical treating is recommended If the water chemistry is good.  We would add the required amounts of shock, algaecide and phosphate removers.

Cleaning Option 2: Deep cleaning is recommended if the basic water chemistry is poor. Draining the water from the pool and starting over with fresh water.  Once finished, the pool is filled and the starter chemicals are added.  Included with the service: We would clean the filter if it is a Cartridge or DE style filter tank. Imagine what the pool filter looks like if the pool water is green! If the pool uses sand filtration, we inspect and stir up the sand before back washing to flush debris from the sand filter. We usually also recommend a chlorine wash upon draining.   A Chlorine wash consists of our technician getting into the pool and spraying all surfaces with liquid chlorine to kill the algae.

• Prepping Equipment to Run Again or for First-Time Use: Equipment prep can include programming, labeling, scheduling, pulling plugs and priming lines, cleaning filters, installing cleaners repair, and more. Setting and labelling equipment can cut down future identification time.
• Proper Chemical Balancing: The chemistry of your new pool water needs to be balanced according to the particular type of plaster that is present. It is of utmost importance in curing your new plaster properly. For many plaster types, this includes a different chemical balance than you would normally operate your pool with, as well as an accurate timeline of varying chemical profiles as the plaster cures over the first few weeks. Along with brushing, proper chemistry is the most important aspect of pool start-up. Chemistry balance ensures that your plaster cures properly and evenly. They help to eliminate the possibility of rough spots or staining on the plaster, especially in corners and on steps. Improper technique or a lack of force can lead to streaking or rough spots.
• Knowing What to Do and When to Do it – Some types of plaster are highly resilient to environmental change. You can install a cleaner or vacuum in the first week, swim after five days, and use the heater after a week. Other plasters require 3-4 weeks before you can swim, install a cleaner or a vacuum used on the plaster, or use the heater.

Quotes are honored for a period of 30 days. After which, the quote will expire and a new assessment must be made. Inspection reports will be communicated through email along with accompanying photos. Detailed Inspection Reports will require 3-4 business days to complete, as additional time will be needed to prepare quotes.
